About Jake

Jake Towne is a chemical engineer who worked in the semiconductor industry for the past seven years. With a full scholarship, Jake earned his bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering with honors from Lehigh University. He spent a summer at Dortmund

University in Germany as an exchange student and, as a Martindale scholar, traveled to Hong Kong to write on the political system following the British handover to the Chinese.

For the last four years Jake worked for Ablestik Laboratories leading the start-up and commissioning of two manufacturing cells in Shanghai, China.

His mother teaches adult education at a local university and his father works in a machine shop at a local university.

Jake has an adventurous spirit having backpacked in Nepal and New Zealand, teaching English to tribal villagers on the rain-forested Chinese-Burmese border and running several marathons. Living abroad gave Jake an understanding of how hard life can really be without the liberties that we Americans often take for granted.

In March of 2009, he returned to his hometown and birthplace of Nazareth, PA to pursue this campaign full-time.

He hopes to meet you personally as he campaigns.

“I humbly hope that you will find me worthy of your vote, and your vote is cast as an informed decision for the best candidate. I will do my very best to serve you, the people of the Fifteenth District of Pennsylvania.” Jake Towne
