Incumbent Republocrat Charlie Dent likes to bill himself as an “independent leader,” when the reality is anything but. A hard look at the record reveals that 6 years in federal Congress and over $1 million in salary later, Dent has achieved little besides renaming a few post offices and helping plunge the nation into [...]

Sometimes I guess it isn’t such a bad thing to be left out of a debate or two if the result is front page news coverage In today’s Sunday edition of the Express-Times newspaper with the headline “Some Debates Exclude Jake Towne,” reporter Lynn Olanoff covers my being left out of a debate [...]

Yesterday I was fortunate to be invited to Comcast’s studio in Philadelphia to record an interview with Jill Horner. Portions of the 15th district use Comcast as a main provider and this video will be made available free as “Candidates on Demand” later in the election season. An HD version is here but has a [...]

In July, I interviewed with Reading Eagle reporter Mary Young on the wars and also on my campaign. In August, this article was featured in their Sunday paper, the main newspaper for the Berks county region of the 15th congressional district. Ms. Young struck me as solid journalist, taking notes a mile-a-minute in shorthand (which [...]

I was recently featured on WFMZ-TV a couple days ago, and [...]

Independent congressional candidate Jake Towne issued this statement today against the Coke/Pepsi Republocrat Party:
“Incumbent Charlie Dent no longer has any excuse to avoid debates and being taken to task for his poor performance over his past twenty years in office. Dent has misrepresented the district during the most severe economic downturn in modern history [...]

A brief update to supporters on the ballot access filing situation. The campaign has collected plenty signatures with plenty of backups to be listed on the November 2 ballot. These signatures must be filed by August 2, but filing prior to this date simply gives more time for the competition to [...]

Congressman Dent’s campaign informed PA2010.com that they prefer independent Jake Towne – who is running as a private citizen under no political party – be silenced and barred from debating Dent this fall.
Towne stated, “I take objection to their actions as anti-democratic and a sign of weakness. Congressional races should not be similar [...]

Today a local blog, Lehigh Valley with Love, published an exclusive interview with myself by asking some very non-traditional political questions. The blogger described the campaign as running under “the ticket of awesome, or something.” Pardon any sarcasm in my responses, and I encourage everyone to check it out the interview here.
Also, this Sunday the [...]
