Beginning March 10, 2010, the Campaign is permitted to begin collecting signatures for ballot access. Since I am running as an independent, there is no primary election. For U.S. Congressman in district 15, the state of Pennsylvania will list me on the ballot once 3,629 valid signatures are submitted. To ensure ballot access, the Campaign has a goal of 7,000 signatures, but we plan to keep filing signatures throughout the allotted time period. It is in the campaign’s best interest to file as soon as possible. Something worth noting is that the Republocrats must only obtain 1,000 signatures.
To sign or pick up the form, please either attend one of the petition kickoffs on March 10, 12, or 13 or contact the campaign as the nomination papers can also be mailed to you. For more details and a district map, please visit here. A list of petition events is below, for more events check out here.
While the number of signatures is no walk in the park, it’s certainly a reachable goal. Towne for Congress thanks in advance each and every petitioner, since it’s your hard work that will place me on the ballot.
I hope everyone enjoys the fantastic advertisement below that will be printed shortly in a local newspaper. Please share and spread the ad via internet, especially if you live in the area, just right-click the image and select “Save As” or download from here. Three campaign volunteers worked to make this happen – Kevin Daley inspired the concept, Anthony Geist, a local graphic artist, drew the political cartoon, logo, and layout, and Jeff Cox, a local photographer, took my photo.
All have my sincere thanks for the donation of their time and skill.
My humble regards, and in liberty,
Jake Towne
