Boston Tea Party Money Bomb on December 16

This December 16th a grassroots group “Liberty Candidates 2010” (which is not affiliated with Towne for Congress) is sponsoring a Boston Tea Party Money Bomb for the campaign.  Please check it out and remember the fiery patriots who overthrew the British Empire.  Why?  Because as sure as night follows day, our country is under siege not by foreign enemies, but by the Republocrat enemies within the halls of Congress.  Any size donation – $5, $10, $20 or more will make a difference in this campaign.

Our next major event is a “Towne Hall” January 14th in Allentown, but anyone can help anytime, all you have to do is volunteer.  See “Upcoming Events” here.

Dear Friends of Liberty  -

Today is the anniversary of the December 16, 1773, Tea Party where the irate colonists destroyed crates of tea in protest of taxation.  While a more apt protest in our modern day may be to shun federal reserves notes for gold and silver, Towne for Congress is taking part in today’s grassroots Money Bomb sponsored by Gigi Bowman for the liberty candidates.  Gigi is not affiliated with the campaign.  Please see the list here.

Through 8 AM today, nearly $200 has been raised from 7 donors.  Our goal is to hit $1400.  These federal reserve notes will be used to pay for a quarter-page or half-page ad in major local newspapers in January 2010 to promote the campaign and advertise our first quarter campaign events, which include Towne Halls.

The money from the last money bomb was used to create 20,000 “Who Is Jake Towne?” flyers and so far this month 9,000 have been distributed to people’s homes.  This Sunday the campaign’s editorial was featured in a major local newspaper side-by-side with the Republican and Democrat challengers.  The weekend saw campaign volunteers showing up in force to assist distributing the flyers, despite rather icy and freezing rain on Sunday.  These volunteers are my heroes, a link to the update is here.

The last report detailing campaign expenditures in detail is here (from November), and contains a link to the last FEC quarterly too.  I assure you we have been as frugal as possible as we have a long election year ahead – there is no primary for independents, just a general election, and in March we are permitted to start collecting the needed signatures.

Donations of any size — $5, $10, $25 or more, whatever you decide are sincerely appreciated.

That freedom shall not perish.

December 16, 1773 was the first Tea Party and now, 236 years later, it is now time for another.
