Dear Friends of Liberty -

Please join the campaign this weekend, December 12-13, for a doorhanger blitz, see Upcoming Events on the Events Tab for details. We will be dropping off this “Who Is Jake Towne?” trifold flyer at as many residences in the district as possible during December and manpower is necessary as the campaign cannot afford mass postage (plus it is good exercise!) The ambitious December delivery goal is 20,000 flyers, and we are currently at 1,600+ delivered. If you are not available on these dates, no problem!! These deliveries can be done at your schedule, just contact TowneForCongress@gmail.com with the number of flyers and your area.

For those outside of the district (and inside!!) please enlist with the Web Team, led by volunteer Rebekah Forney (contact her at RNForney AT gmail.com). The Web Team has been extremely effective to date, taking over the comment trails of every major campaign article. This week, the Morning Call invited the campaign to contribute an opinion on the economy for this Sunday’s Town Square opinion section – this is UNPRECEDENTED for an independent campaign in the district!!! The Web Team work is completely at your own schedule, and really only takes a minute or two at times, and has already exceeded expectations for this year!!

In my latest article, The Government’s “War” on Main Street, I demonstrate how the government is literally WORSENING the depression with every action it takes. We would like to fight back by kicking off January by spending $900 on advertising in January, but I do not want to deplete our extremely meager war chest. In 15 weeks of fundraising, we have had very close to 300 donors to the campaign, and the average donation is $25. In terms of NUMBER of donors, we are doing quite well compared to the competition, but of course not with the totals raised.

While the Establishment campaigns really only go after small-time contributors to try and lock up votes (their Republican/Democrat big donor lists and PAC lobbyists take care of the vast majority of fundraising), Towne for Congress thrives on donations of any size!!! You do not need to live in the district to donate. Please $5, $10, $25, whatever you can spare. Our latest donor report is available here.

After the Flyer Blitz, our next big event will be the 2nd “Towne” Hall at the Lehigh County Seniors Center in Allentown on January 14th. Our first Towne Hall on Thanksgiving Eve filled the room, and we hope to have many more attend in January. More events are being arranged, but the campaign could use your help arranging future meet and greets, etc. http://towneforcongress.com/events/upcoming-events
