Flyer Blitz and Article Archive

This Saturday, January 30th, the campaign is holding a flyer blitz in Allentown starting at 12:30 for the afternoon.  If you are free, please RSVP so we know how many routes to prepare.  A meal will be served afterwards, so we also need a rough headcount here as well.  Please RSVP to towneforcongress@gmail.com and include a contact number in case of inclement weather.  The goal of the event is to deliver as many flyers and cover as much ground as possible.  While the weather is cold, it’s best to keep on the move, plus signature collection is not allowed by Pennsylvania until March 10th.  More details are here.

If you are not available to blitz on this particular day, the “Who Is Jake Towne?” flyer can be downloaded and printed out.  Feel free to contact the campaign and organize an event yourself.  Other events include next Monday evening, February 1st, there is a “Towne” Hall in Bethlehem, and on Thursday, February 4th I am giving a speech to a group of citizens from Conservative Voice in Allentown.  If you do not live in the area but would like to help, just send a note towneforcongress@gmail.com, and we’ll find some way for you to help.

While the election is not until November 2nd, there is no time to lose as very little help is likely from the local media, although we have had some success and will continue to advertise like this 1/2 page ad from a couple weeks ago as long as we have the funds to do so.  In December, we distributed 15,000 flyers to residences in the district, most of them over a single weekend.

While the website has been an unparalleled success for an independent political campaign with 1,590 registered members and today broke into the top 100,000 websites of any kind in the US, this campaign must be won on the ground by the volunteers and I.  However, to better organize all the articles that have been written since the website began in July last year, a new page was created here, the “Article Archive.

If there is some award given to a candidate for the sheer number of articles written, I probably would win that election as well. :)
