First, let me say that I think all of your practical solutions will be an improvement over our current system, but I also think that some of them continue bad precedents. Mainly, Should everyone be treated equally under the Law?

1.  I would introduce tax relief legislation to allow individuals and families to reduce their federal income tax nearly dollar-for-dollar by the amounts they spend out-of-pocket on private health care premiums.

I know that this is just your healthcare solutions, but why not allow individuals to reduce their federal income tax dollar-for-dollar by the amount they spend on food, transportation, housing, energy, and entertainment? Giving a tax break for a certain product or service is just an indirect form of a government subsidy program that helps one industry at the expense of others.

I completely agree with solutions 2, 3, 4, 7, & 8.

5.  I would introduce a bill to suspend the obligation of individuals suffering from terminal illness or cancer to continue paying the Social Security tax on their income.

Why only the terminally ill? Social Security is giant ponzi scheme that no one from our generation will recieve a dime from.(same as the terminally ill) Obligation should be suspended for everyone. We should end this ponzi scheme and refund everyone their money. I would rather get 10 cents on the dollar than nothing at all.

6.  I would introduce a bill to reduce federal income taxes dollar-for-dollar by amounts spent out-of-pocket by parents for their children with terminal illnesses, major disabilities or cancer

Same and #1. This solution, as Bastiat would say, "perverts the law," and gives special favors to certain indivduals or groups over others.

"Every bad precedent originated as a justifiable measure." Sallust

My premise is that there should be 100% equality under the Law, no VIPs. And so I can only agree with 5 out of your 8 solutions, but wouldn't this world would be quit boring if everyone agreed 100% ;) Keep up the great work Jake!

As you know Jake, I am a supporter of Fairtax and GOOOH. If Fairtax were enacted the complaints mentioned above would be eliminated because every one would be treated fairly and no one would pay income tax on Health  care and there fore every one would receive a tax break.  The cost of health care would also be reduced because of the elimination of corporate taxes and IRS compliance costs.
