On August 19, 2009, I was interviewed for the second time on Ken Van Doren's show, the Voice of Liberty on RevolutionBroadcasting.com.
In Part 1, we discussed the depletion of the FDIC's Deposit Insurance Fund. As of today, there has been no additional information on the status of using the $100 billion set aside to bailout the FDIC. Here is the link describing this in more detail.
In Part 2, 3, and the start of 4, I shared my views on health care and HR 3200, the "Obamacare" bill. We also discuss the Republican proposal, which I view as the lesser of two evils as stated in my open letter to the Republican incumbent in my district. I state what I believe to be a viable endgame scenario - the Obama administration compromises and government control of health care continues - while NOT addressing key issues such as medical tort reform on the state levels, a sound currency to defeat inflation (which I present as a major contributor to rising costs), and tax breaks such as proposed in my health care platform.
In Part 4, a larger view is taken to the problem at hand. I bring in examples from The People's Pottage and F.A. Hayek's The Road to Serfdom to support my argument that the Republic has been dead since at least the time of the Korean War, and the rise of the executive power.
In Part 5, foreign policy and foreign military aid is discussed as the interview ends.
Feel free to leave any comments below. I am working to be more terse and use helpful and accurate soundbites. Since I am not a career politician, this is harder than it looks, but practice makes perfect!
