Well, that was informative to say the least - helped me fill some holes in my research. Still, I would like to make the following additions:

1-     In November 2003 the UN resolution 1441 condemned Iraq for not abandoning research to give themselves WMD capabilities. Being that the US has saw fit to remain the strongest member in the UN, they came to us for help. To be blunt, I think it was no more then a political move.

2-     In the case that I am wrong in the conclusion in point 1, it was in 1998 that former UN weapons inspector Scott Ritter left the UN due to its failure to enforce its efforts to ‘disarm Iraq’.  I welcome any link that can be provided that I can find this report in detail, because that is the only place I have seen even a hint of what might have given justification for point 1.

3-     Our involvement in the Middle East goes back to the 1920’s when we aided the League of Nations in establishing quasi governments in the Middle East to stabilize the land enough to use it as a base of operation in WWI. From there on out, it was just one mistake compounded by another including a periodic political housecleaning, UN enforcement, and running their oil businesses (which oddly enough didn’t stop until the 80’s). I believe I would be ticked off myself.

4-     It is my full belief that this is nothing more then a move toward a dangerous expansionist philosophy. Rome tried it, and it led to their downfall. Russia tried it, and nearly ruined themselves. Do our politicians honestly believe that the 3rd time will be a charm? Personally, I call it 3 strikes and you’re out.

People who live in the 15th district:

You have no idea how lucky you to have a candidate who seeks to inform you. This is a stark contrast to the politicians we have now who decide that its just easier to filter what your fed. In the 8th district of PA (Bucks county), we have no such candidate at the moment. So please support this man in any way you can, and give liberty a fighting chance.
