Today, Wednesday, October 28th, I am traveling down to the Drexel University campus to appear on FOX’s Freedom Watch with Judge Napolitano. I have been watching this show since it began, but is only offered online at the current time, and I am told that higher # of viewers may lead to its appearing on mainstream television.

This would be one small step forward for the liberty movement and one giant leap for FOX as dissident political views and cynicism of the government are held by much of the public.

To illustrate what I mean by public dissent, check out the last NBC/WSJ poll which is probably fairly realistic:

“Perhaps the most striking finding in the poll is the public dissatisfaction with Washington. Only 23 percent say they trust government “just about always” or “most of the time,” which is the lowest number on this question since 1997.

What’s more, nearly half of respondents (46 percent) support building an independent political party to compete with the Republicans and Democrats.

And nearly six in 10 (57 percent) blame both Republicans and Democrats for the partisanship in Washington.”

I suppose with my independent candidacy I can be tossed in with the 57%. I do not relish the fact that by running for office, one loses a lot of privacy. While this is fantastic for the campaign and spreading the message and I am really excited to be on the show, I do not really want to be on TV. As a matter of fact, I am gritting my teeth since the rumor is they might try to put make-up on my face.

I could even see getting really nervous for such things, but I don’t this will happen to me. For I have a message about prosperity, peace, and the freedom of the individual to share and am armed with the truth, which cuts like the swiftest sword and defends like the stoutest shield. As far as media soundbites go, I don’t know about those so much
