Also sent out a press release today which reads:

Dear members of the press -
Today I attended the latest of Congressman Dent's town halls.  Although I do like the fact he is holding them, the notification for this one was 2 days in advance, and the time was mid-morning on a Monday - not exactly a lot of prior notice nor a convenient time for most.  As Congressman, I will be working a lot of early evenings town halls.
I handed my latest letter to him, and must confess that I am exasperated.  I am a citizen in his district, I have written eight (8) open letters and many more unpublished letters - many from before my candidacy even began.  He has not answered a single one, even though I have taken the care to hand him paper copies of each open letter in person.     My latest note is a constructive one - I share my idea with him on how he can improve his office to be more accountable and transparent to our residents.  Of course, if the people in our district like it a lot (and feedback has been very favorable so far) and if the Congressman fails to improve his accountability, residents will have a chance to remove him and replace him with me in November 2010.   I am sick and tired of our country's politicians - Democrats and Republicans both - ruining my country, and my independent candidacy demonstrates that I will not stand for it any longer.      Tomorrow evening I am giving a talk on the financial crisis, please consider this an invitation as well.  Details are on my website here.    The letter is below or it can be read here http://towneforcongress.com/economy/the-open-office-an-open-letter-to-congressman-dent-1   In liberty,

Your a true visionary Jake. The American people are hearing crickets and instead being talked at. This country is no longer a Republic, it is now a social democracy, mob rule. But we need leaders running the opposite direction against this tide of evil. I love the Open Office idea. It is going to latch and take hold but I must admit it may be while we are rebuilding the nation. The inertia of the Washington crowd reminds me of lemmings running off the cliff into the sea.

I've asked Senator Sherrod Brown some of these very same questions. All I get is an extremely vaguely written form letter. I tried to ask a question at his internet townhall meeting, and found the questions were being pre-screened. Needless to say, my questions on health care were never answered.
