Towne’s Signatures Unchallenged

Jake Towne confirmed today with the Commonwealth Court of Pennsylvania that no challenges to the signatures has been submitted prior to the August 9 deadline. Towne, an independent, will be on the November 2^nd ballot for United States Congress in Pennsylvania’s 15^th district.

With a mantra to “Stop the Endless Debt and Endless Wars!” Towne points out his competitors are typical Establishment-backed career politicians concerned more with mudslinging than debating the critical issues affecting residents’ lives.

Towne challenged John Callahan to make known his stance on the War on Terror by saying, “It is ridiculous that any candidate for Congress can campaign for over a year and not utter or write a single word on the endless wars abroad. Callahan appears intent on continuing the failed nation-building policies of the Bush and Obama administrations.”

The current incumbent’s voting and spending record speaks for itself. When Charlie Dent entered Congress just 6 years ago, the national debt was $7.6 trillion over the country’s first 228 years. With Charlie ‘Debts’ help, the national debt is now $13.3 trillion.

Towne is a chemical engineer who worked in the semiconductor industry prior to running for office as an independent private citizen, including the past 4 years in Asia. Towne has promised to accept only the median household income and not enlist in the congressional health care or pension plans. The remainder of the $174,000 salary will be donated to local non-profit hospitals. He also champions sound money and a novel-yet-simple form of accountable and transparent government, “Our Open Office.”
